Fall Television Lineup

Wondering what’s happening to your Television shows, and if they’re going to be rewnewed for another season?  Check out this list.

The Visitors

ABC is remaking and updating the 80′s television show ‘V’, let’s see if it can be as good as the original.  Wow, something else to gum up my DVR, I’m going to need another one after this is all said and done.

HDTV Part Two

In addition to my post about HDTV differences, I stumbled on a few articles linked from Lifehacker.  Here is one to help enhance your current HDTV configuration and talk about DVD Player upgrades, and an even further explanation on buying that new HDTV.

Here’s a great quote from one of those articles that I completely agree with

Don’t be fooled by the exorbitant prices tagged on these cables by brands like Monster. A six-foot HDMI cable from Monster costs anywhere between $40 and $60, even though they are no more advanced than a $10 HDMI cable from an unknown brand.

Enjoy!

Telvision Buying Guide

Last night there was a discussion about Telvision sets after Thanksgiving Dinner.  I’ve read many articles online and seen many different Television sets.  Here’s a short article that I paraphrased from another website.  Thought I’d save you all the ad placement and pop-up windows.  Remember, High-definition Televisions come in all shapes and sizes, and although they can seem alike on the outside, they use different technologies & can produce very different results.

Hulu Hoop

Missed that episode of your favorite show during opening week? Maybe it’s available on Hulu for streaming.  I’ve watched a few clips on here and must say with broadband it is very good quality. All televised shows are not available but a good number of well known shows are showing up as the site gains popularity.

farewell jericho

Well the ‘final’ episode was Tuesday and the community is still reeling for more, well at least Leslie & I are.

Tuesday night’s episode was great, but with the idea of it being the final episode was wearing heavy on my mind.  Every set of commercials that we fast forwarded through (thank god for DVR) I kept thinking that they were dragging it out and needed to tie up the loose ends.  Read on for my thoughts on the show, spoilers inside…

Sick…

I hate being sick.  Something about just feeling completely worn down without any control really aggrivates me.  So I was doped up (on medicine… get your mind out of the gutter) for a few days earlier this week, when finally I succombed to the wrath of my cold.  It was my first time taking a steady regiment of Claritin, and I must say the stuff finally started to work three days later it seemed.  Leslie also picked up some nasal spray for me that Vicks puts out called ‘Early Defense’, which also seemed to work pretty well.

But being cooped up for the past two days has not done well for me.  I’ve watched so many TV shows & movies that I could easily review the daily programming for the past two days without issue.  If HBO doesn’t come up with some good programming sometime soon, I’m going to have to cancel it.  If not for the Cox In-Demand portion, where you can order ‘some’ of HBO’s programming at your leisure, I have a feeling that Leslie would have come to me with the idea much earlier.  Don’t get me wrong, every now and then they have some good stuff on but for the most part the programming has really gone downhill.
