If you have a Gmail account, you might want to take a look at some of the new Labs they’ve released over the past few days.  To get to the labs just log into your Gmail account, and look for the link in the top right hand corner that says New Labs.  Click this to see some of the neat things that Google offers the users of Gmail. 

Here are a few examples:

1. Ever included Bob (your boss) instead of Bob (your friend) on an email by accident? Oops! Turn on “Got the wrong Bob?” and Gmail will check if you meant to include Bob Smith rather than Bob Jones based on the groups of people you email most often.
2. Oops, hit “Send” too soon? Give yourself a grace period of a few seconds to cancel sending, then edit your message before sending again. Turn it on from the Labs tab under Settings.
3. Make Gmail work even when you’re not connected to the internet. Turn on offline access from the Labs tab under Settings.

These are just a few as well as the addition of Themes, Tasks & other goodies.  If you don’t have a Gmail account, now might be the time.  Read all my other stories about Gmail here, or just use the handy dandy search in the top right.

This is why you need to smarten up when using technology!

Looks like next-in-line-to-rule Google was having issues with GMail again today.  And of course Twitter is having issues due to the GMail users wishing to make tweets about it. /sarcastic laugh

No Twitter & Gmail? Now what!?

Twitter follows with an Over Capacity (view the tab).  Guess this is the .01% of that downtime they posted the images about earlier this year…

Don’t know if any of you are GMail users, but if you are you ‘might’ have noticed the availablity of themes for your email web client.  The reason I’m saying ‘might’ is because some people are complaining that they are not seeing it.  Google claims that every GMail account will have it by the end of the week.  Calm down people, you lived all this time without it… what’s a few days!?

So you are browsing the web when suddenly a window opens telling you that you have a virus and you must click the button to rid yourself of this binary beast.  What do you do?  Sort of like a children’s choose your own adventure novel, browsing the web can take a turn for the worst at any given moment.  If you’re well versed in the world of protecting yourself from computer viruses & spam then you can pass on this one, if not I suggest you read ahead…
