Hurricane Gustav Update
I wrote this earlier and lost internet before posting so here it is…
Well, other than being tired I’m holding up pretty good. We are still without power here at work, but working in IT has its perks like disaster air conditioning for servers. It has been an interested set of days here in the city, as I was driving around yesterday through streets littered with debris and tree limbs. It was even more deserted than the time I returned after Katrina to get some belongings as the only cars I saw on the streets had flashing lights. I was also happy to see that my house only had downed tree limbs in the back yard, and I pulled any remaining hanging limbs so they did not become projectiles for the next few days of wind gusts.
Wind gusts still remain here, as I walked outside this morning to check on things the weather was nice and breezy, with no rain. The police are not really allowing many people to drive around right now as the city is under 24 hour curfew, no matter what credentials you have.
The wife, baby & family are trying to return today, let’s just hope that they do not run into any problems trying to get back into Jefferson Parish.
I’ll try to update more, I haven’t been able to due to the lack of power and internet.

Hurricane Twitter
For those who don’t already know, I will be staying behind in New Orleans for Hurricane Gustav. I will try to update my Twitter as the days go on. Keep an eye on the right sidebar under Twitter Updates for more…
Hurricane Info RSS
I have added a Hurricane Info RSS feed to the sidebar on the right to track Gustav. If you live in any state that touches the Gulf of Mexico I suggest you keep an eye on this storm.
