The Internet turned 40 yesterday, and Lifehacker has a nice article up. I suggest watching the video on that page, but only if you really want to know where all of this technology was first started. I especially like the part about what sites looked like when they first launched. I can still remember the early Yahoo & Google pages back in the day!

In addition to my post about HDTV differences, I stumbled on a few articles linked from Lifehacker. Here is one to help enhance your current HDTV configuration and talk about DVD Player upgrades, and an even further explanation on buying that new HDTV.
Here’s a great quote from one of those articles that I completely agree with
Don’t be fooled by the exorbitant prices tagged on these cables by brands like Monster. A six-foot HDMI cable from Monster costs anywhere between $40 and $60, even though they are no more advanced than a $10 HDMI cable from an unknown brand.

Great article on Credit Card usage on Consumerist.com, linked from Lifehacker. Neat stuff in there like ‘merchants cannot force a minimum transaction amount.’
